The nights of July and August will once again be lit up in Serralves Park! "There’s light in the Park" is back, after the first edition held in 2015, during the International Year of Light. Throughout the Park and celebrating its remarkable heritage, many paths, trees and iconic buildings will once again be decoratively illuminated, transforming the Park’s night-time environment into a unique and unmissable experience of magic and light. With concerts, guided tours, night photography workshops and nights with extended hours dedicated to photography lovers, there are multiple reasons for making a new visit (at night) to Serralves Park.
Opening hours:The lights of the installation will be switched on at 21.00 and the entrance is via the gate in the Avenida do Marechal Gomes da Costa:- during the week: 21:00-00:00 (during the week the Park closes from 19:00 to 21:00); - during the weekend: 20:00-00:00 (during the weekend the Park is open from 10:00 to 00:00). Access: subject to purchasing a Park ticket (ticket office is open until 23:00).

Taking advantage of the installation, "There’s light in the Park", this is an opportunity to photograph the unique landscape of Serralves Park when illuminated. In this workshop, participants will receive a brief theoretical training followed by a trip through the Park to take photographs and apply the knowledge that has been obtained.Participants must be equipped with a digital camera that allows manual control of its exposure, focus, sensitivity and colour temperature and a tripod. Although not mandatory, use of a timer or remote shutter release cable is also recommended.
