Synecdoche is a figure of speech characterized by the substitution of one term for another, whose most common form consists in taking the part for the whole and the whole for the part.
In this solo I revisit and bring together six choreographic pieces that I created and performed in collaboration with Maria Lemos, Elizabete Francisca, Filipe Pereira and Sara Anjo, between 2009 and 2020. Condensing this period of time and these choreographies, transiting from the stage to the gallery space and transforming duets into a solo experience is certainly a challenging exercise. However, today, I feel that this history, which is also an ecosystem, needs to manifest itself. I hear this new composition asking me to assume the great life and the small death that this art gives me.
