The Selva, who are celebrating the release of their fourth album, Camarão Girafa, will open the second weekend. Formed by Ricardo Jacinto, Gonçalo Almeida and Nuno Morão, the trio continues to explore a broad sound spectrum that favours electro-acoustic, minimal and repetitive music as their strategic field of action. The show has a strong chamber music component in which electronic contamination and the spirit of improvisation lead music towards new, unexpected musical universes.

Later on, for the second concert of the day, Marcelo dos Reis presents his new trio, Flora. Directly and unabashedly inspired by 1970s fusion jazz and the more exploratory and progressive psychedelic rock, Reis subverts those languages to arrive at a vibrant music that remarkably survives the beginning of this new century. His music straddles the boundaries of jazz, rock and improvised music, with a personality that is particularly powerful in a live setting.
