Acesso gratuito, sujeito a inscrição

The Serralves Bookshop hosts the second session of Story Time, featuring the children's book "Outra Coisa", with Rita Sineiro.
This marks the second session of a series of monthly gatherings that invite children and families to immerse themselves in the world of books. Each session becomes an engaging experience where stories, whether read or told, come to life through imagination.
"In books, one thing is always something else. Want to see?Green, blue, yellow… sea, poppy, girl. Now a wolf, now Little Red Riding Hood, an apple, a frog, and seven little goats.First rain, then heat – gloves, shorts, and sticks drying in the sun.Car, tractor, motorcycle, lap. Up, up, and hands to the story!"
Sign up now! Admission is free but subject to venue capacity. Each registration in the form corresponds to a single participant.
Throughout 2025, once a month, children and families are invited to attend Story Time at the Serralves Bookshop, always on Saturdays at 4:00 PM. More than just listening to a story, it is an interactive moment where words gain voice and movement. Each session takes young readers and their families on new journeys, sparking creativity and fostering a love for reading.

Rita Sineiro - I was born in Porto, on a night with a very full moon in a Year of the Dragon. I grew up with a bright blue ribbon in my hair and my eyes anchored to the sea, dreaming of distant snowy places. Since I was very little, I’ve talked more than necessary, and my hands always seem to fall to my waist (especially when I read the news). People say I carry a lot of the place I come from, and to me, that’s a compliment. As a child, adults would send me off to books so they could rest from me, and I quickly realized that books were the best place for me to rest from them. That still works today—but now, I don’t rest alone. Being a writer was my favorite game. It still is, really—I just play it more seriously now. I believe with all my heart that my place in the world is to write and tell stories—because, honestly, I don't think I’d know how to belong anywhere else. Apparently, I’ve been going through a rebellious phase since the day I was born. And I suppose that’s why, in my most secret dreams, I am also a revolutionary.
