Jihan El-Tahri is an award-winning film director, writer, visual artist and producer. She has been a member of the Academy (Oscar) since 2017 and has directed more than 15 films. As a visual artist she has had exhibitions in some of the most prestigious museums and biennials around the world. Her writings include essays in renowned publications and the books Les Sept Vies de Yasser Arafat (Grasset) and Israel and the Arabs, The 50 Years War (Penguin). El-Tahri directs several film labs and belongs to African film councils and organizations, including FEPACI and The Guild of Filmmakers in the Diaspora.

Originally an improvising musician, Nicholas Bussmann has expanded his practice to a wide range of musical genres, visual arts, curation and performances in which he creates conceptual frameworks and concrete scenarios for collective actions. At the heart of his interest is the close and historically rooted connection between music, social practice and socialization.

As a curator he has worked at the Berlin Documentary Forum, the 2014 Shanghai Biennale and the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) in Berlin. His works have been presented at events and institutions such as Maerz Muzik, Transmediale, Pirelli HangarBicocca, Museu de Serralves and exhibitions at TaxisPalais Kunsthalle Tirol and HKW, among others.
