The Museum as Performance

The Museum As Performance returns to Serralves in September for its 7th edition. One more step towards affirming the place of performance in the museum space, but also towards its questioning. In times of dramatic negotiations of presence, derived and exacerbated by sanitary crises, environmental emergencies and sociopolitical frictions that somatize the growing pains of cosmopolitan ideals on a global scale, performance offers itself as a possibility and a field for reflection and experimentation, for confluences and tensions whose urgency seems inescapable.

Again, this program brings together a group of artists and works that offer a web of encounters and disciplinary intersections which include performance, actions, dance, music and installation.
