This is a unique set of 1250 documents archived with special care by the second Count of Vizela, Carlos Alberto Cabral, that was donated to the Fundação de Serralves by his family. This archive, consisting of correspondence, budgets, invoices, construction drawings, photographs, contracts and personal notes, makes it possible to ascertain the history of the construction of the Serralves Villa, garden and farm in the early twentieth century. The archive includes documents from key figures in the history of European architecture, landscaping and decorative arts, such as Jacques Gréber, René Lalique, José Marques da Silva, Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann, among others.
