I belong to a tree from East Asia (China, Japan and Korea). You can find me in many private and public gardens in the city of Porto. There are thousands of specimens of my species, and it’s very easy to genetically manipulate my flower’s shape, color and size. I blossom during the winter, and my flowers are highly appreciated, which is why I’m known as the “Winter Queen”.

I am a camellia, the flower of the Japanese tree or Japanese camellia (Camellia japonica)!
