My name is Swallowtail Butterfly (Papilio machaon). I can grow to up to 8 cm and I’m one of the largest butterflies found in Portugal. As a caterpillar I prefer eating fennel and rue, and my eggs are deposited on these species. In the Park you can observe me more easily in the Aromatic Plants Garden and the Farm’s Vegetable Garden.
